Hello! Today was nice and slow + relaxing. Being our last full day here, we took lots in, but slowed the pace. And it was sunny ALL day, what a blessing! Today is Divine Mercy Sunday in the Catholic liturgical world, and I like think God had mercy on us today and stopped the rain haha.

This morning we attended an international Mass in the underground Basilica. Readings and prayers were in a variety of languages, and thousands attended! It was beautiful to be a part of. We walked around lots, prayed lots, and enjoyed some good food + coffee. My Dad found an even better version of “American Coffee” and was quite pleased! I got a meringue as big as my hand haha.

We rested in our hotel briefly, and this evening attended the Torchlight Procession + prayer at the Massabielle Grotto. Oh!! And! We were able to see the film about Lourdes + St. Bernadette IN ENGLISH! I was so happy, hahah. After two failed attempts yesterday, the third time really was the charm.

Outside of this, we really didn’t do much. It was a relaxing day, just as the Lord intended. Maybe it’s all the hustle and bustle of the week, but even though it was a slow day, we are both exhausted again before bed. However, this time I’m not as grumpy haha.

Tomorrow will be our last few hours in Lourdes and then we head out to St. Jean Pied de Port. I look forward to updating you all tomorrow night, as it will be the final night before the start of the Camino! We hope you are all well, and hopefully having lovely weather like we did today!

Buen Camino!
