Hello everyone!! Today we went from Belorado (or El Dorado as Dad would say) to Villafranca. It was only 12km which took us approximately 3.5 hours. The weather was very windy and overcast, and just as we got into Villafranca the rain started to pour. Just in time for us to stay dry! Tomorrow we will be doing another 12km (hopefully 16 if all goes well), but the next 12km have no infrastructure along the way so we have to get through that, at a minimum, before we can stop.
Last night we made so much pasta for dinner that a bunch of us had it for breakfast, too. I was the last to eat and instructed to eat all that was left. Which was A LOT. It’s not often I eat pasta for breakfast, or breakfast at all, so I felt like I was weighed down after eating, haha. It’s a good thing I was able to go walk it all off right after, otherwise I probably would’ve laid down and not gotten up for hours.
Tonight we are staying at a small hostel, with very little other than the beds and bathrooms. We napped, read books, ate food, and overall just spent a lot of time relaxing. We went to Church Saturday night, and it’s a good thing we did because we couldn’t find one locally for the day time. I told my Dad that this day was exactly what I needed (and I think he agreed). For myself, I could tell I was getting grumpier throughout the days, since I was sleeping less than I’d have wanted. So having the whole afternoon to just relax and be horizontal for as long as I wanted was such a treat!
Oh! We also met a young couple at our hostel from Moldova. Does anyone know where that is?! It was the first I ever heard of the country and I felt so silly. It’s been so enjoyable meeting people along the way, sharing meals, swapping stories and learning so much about where people come from. It really has a way of opening your heart and mind! I hope you all get to experience like this sometime in your life.
We are praying for you. Please send us any prayer requests you might have. God Bless!

I missed this update! Just going back and reading … that’s a lot of pasta; I can’t believe you polished that off.
